How to Change the Background of a Photo in Photoshop

Hello,
I want to know how I can change the background of a photo. Basically it is me standing in front of a wall. I want to change it to another picture like a natural background. Can anyone tell me the method to do this and make the photo look natural?

There are several methods to do this.

  1. You can use various tools like Pen Tool, Quick Selection Tool, Magic Wand Tool, etc. to make a selection of your photo. You can also use the tools like Eraser tool to erase unnecessary portions.
  2. Press Enter after making the selection.
  3. Then simply delete the outer portions (Ctrl+Shift+I and Delete).
  4. Then drag and drop the background image to the workspace (make your photo higher in the layers window.)

This is how you can simply change the background of your image. Here is a video which shows doing it in a simple way.

Thanks @Swalih I’ve completed the 3 steps. But stuck at the 4th one. My background image is showing at the top. How can I change it to show as the background?

How to do that?

Simply drag and drop the background to the top in the Layers section (which can be seen on the right side of the Photoshop window.)

:stuck_out_tongue: It worked. Thanks.
